A school as a BEACON for the community
This pillar offers a menu of possibilities to help founders and leaders re-imagine their schools as lighthouses in communities. Here we offer some simple initiatives through which a school can engage with its community and therefore blur the boundary between school and life. These initiatives inspire children, the school as well as community and by doing so re-position the school as ‘A SCHOOL FOR THE WORLD’.

Design Thinking Bootcamp
This workshop will help participants understand how Design Thinking is used to plan with the user and not for the user. The participants will build their understanding the FIDS framework ( Feel / Imagine/ Do/Share ) and how to use this as a pedagogical tool for planning and an empowerment tool for children.

The Community Engagement workshop is a simple and powerful way to build a circle of giving and gratitude. Very often, a team is so committed to the tasks within the school walls that we sometimes don't get the time to reflect on all our blessings. This workshop will offer a simple strategy to ensure that we grow our spirit of abundance within our team and with the larger community.
